Designed to align with California State Content Standards and Preschool Learning Foundations, Pretend City’s Field Trips will engage preschool through third grade children. Field Trip OptionsSelf-Guided “Play Your Way” Field Trip“Play your Way” field trips allow students, chaperones and teachers to explore the museum at their own pace for a two hour period. This field trip provides teachers the opportunity to customize their exploration time in the museum to most appropriately meet their educational goals for the field trip. |

Guided Field Trip*These field trips include all the freedom of a Self-Guided visit and extend your students’ exploration by incorporating a 30 minute lesson tailored especially for your group. The Pretend City Explore With Us! Field trip is led by our Pretendgineers and BrainBuilders who are experienced staff trained in early childhood education and child development educators. Other Guided Field Trip Options include our Community Partners in Play field trips. These field trips are offered by various community partners including Orange County Fire Authority and the Irvine Police Department. |

Scout/Youth Group Field TripThis special afternoon field trip is specifically designed to offer groups a chance to earn a Pretend City Community Patch. In this dynamic program, Pretend City will offer scout and youth groups the opportunity to address many of the qualities and requirements needed to progress through the various scouting and youth programs. This field trip will help children see various aspects of the city which make it a community and the true power in upholding strong character traits such as good citizenship, cooperation, respect and responsibility. Scholarship Field Trips
Pretend City Children’s Museum Scholarship Program serves children and families with the deepest need in our community. Our Pretend City Children’s Museum Scholarship Program provides free admission to extend equal educational access and opportunities to Orange County’s economically challenged areas. Pretend City Children’s Museum Scholarship Program awards scholarship field trips to students and groups from Title One schools and underserved areas.

Field trip visit days are offered on: Monday through Thursday
* Please note that field trip visits are not offered on Fridays, Pretend City block out dates, and national holidays.
Field Trip Cost:
$50.00 Non-Refundable deposit is due with Pretend City’s initial receipt of completed Field Trip Reservation Request Form.
