Pretend City Children’s Museum offers educational resources to both schools and community groups. We support learning by providing an environment that encourages fun, whole body learning through imagination, curiosity, and questioning. Our environment is informal, but our purpose is serious. We empower children and their grown-ups to meaningfully connect with and expand their world.

Field Trips are not reserved Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Group reservation days are Monday thru Friday during the school year. Throughout the summer (July 1st- August 31st) group visits will be allowed Monday thru Sunday depending on availability. All reservations are subject to black out days.All field trips and group visits must adhere to the chaperone ratio requirments. Additional chaperones cost $9.00 per adult a.m. field trip, and $8.50 per adult p.m. field trip.
*If available a private lunch room can be reserved up to 30 mins for $25 (maximum capacity 60 people)
** Summer Group Reservations are subject to specific entrance times, and to individual terms and conditions stated in the final confirmation.

Book A Group Visit

If you are interested in a group visit please review all above group reservation information and our Group Visit Frequently Asked Questions before submitting a Group Visit Inquiry Form letting us know your first and second choice of date, and general group information so that our registration staff can contact you regarding availability. Please note that this is a request for a visit. Registrations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to availability. Our registration team will contact you regarding your request.

Your group must consist of at least 15 people in order to receive a group rate. We require 2 – 3 weeks advance notice for all bookings depending on the size of the group (see chart above). A non-refundable $20 – $30 deposit is required upon confirmation of group visit date to secure your booking.

Unscheduled Group Visits

Please note that the museum cannot accommodate unscheduled group visits of 15 people or more. Groups arriving without a reservation may be declined admittance. Groups who are allowed admittance will be required to pay full-priced admission.

* An insufficient number of chaperones may result in the cancellation or declined admittance of your group visit.
** Maximum group size count is dependent upon availability. During summer months, maximum group size is 30 people.

Lunch Policy

Limited public seating in our Real Cafe area is available for lunch time. If available, a private lunch room can be reserved for your private use for up to 30 minutes. The 30 min rental cost is $25.00. The maximum capacity for the room is 60 people.
